It began with social meetings among good friends who also played a bit of golf. Why not form their own Golf Association and take it to the next level? The idea was eagerly embraced by the small coterie of individuals for whom golf was a little more than just a game. Let’s name the First Five who began dreaming first and nurtured the dream to reality in 1998.

Avtar Brar was their ‘guruji’ the most accomplished among them, and always generous with his tips and time to teach whoever would show an interest in the game that he loved with a passion. After the ‘basic’ course from Avtar, they moved on to get more familiar with the game by regular outings to the green, and by way of coaching by professionals.Soon golf began attracting a lot more players who gravitated toward the ‘pioneers’.
