| EXPERIENCE
Ketu Shah has been practicing law for over 11 years. He graduated
from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington in 1990 and
the University of Minnesota Law School in 1994. At the University
of Minnesota, Mr. Shah was a Managing Editor for the Journal
of Law and Inequality. After completing law school, Mr. Shah
was selected for the prestigous honor of clerking for Judge
Carol Schapira in King County Superior Court for two years.
He then worked for city attorney's offices for several years.
Mr. Shah founded this office in 2000 to represent businesses
and individuals in business and family immigration matters.
EFFECTIVE
After starting his private practice in 2000, Mr. Shah has
helped businesses and individuals accomplish their immigration
goals in a prompt and effective manner. Mr. Shah has has had
tremendous success in obtaining various immigration benefits
for businesses and families. He has also counseled families
in estate planning to maximize their tax deduction and provide
peace of mind for their family.
INVOLVED
Mr. Shah is also active with his community. He is a member
of the South Asian Bar Association and American Immigration
Lawyers Association. He has also served on the Judicial Evaluation
Committee for the Asian Bar Association.
Mr. Shah is also a board member of Chaya, an organization
that assists women who have endured domestic violence. He
has volunteered with Chaya since 2000 and was appointed to
the Board in 2005. He led a committee in hiring Chaya's new
Executive Director and is currently the Treasurer serving
on the Executive Committee. Mr. Shah is also former Vice-President
of the Network of Indian Professionals and has coached soccer
for girls and boys. Mr. Shah was also appointed by the Governor
Locke to serve on the Governor's Committee on Affirmative
Action Policy.
